Dr. Arun Kumar Singh

Dr. Arun Kumar Singh is currently serving as a Professor in the Department of Pure and Applied Physics at Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, Bilaspur(C.G), India. He obtained his Master of Science degree in Physics from Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, and subsequently earned his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from the School of Materials Science and Technology at the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi.India. Dr. Singh has made significant contributions to the field of Materials Science and Engineering through his extensive research. He has authored and co-authored numerous research papers published in reputed international journals, and has also contributed to several books and book chapters in his area of expertise. Over the years, he has successfully completed multiple research projects funded by various funding agencies, reflecting his strong engagement with sponsored research and innovation.

His research interests primarily focus on advanced materials, particularly organic semiconductors and nanomaterials. His work extensively covers carbon-based nanostructures such as carbon nanotubes, graphene, and other two-dimensional materials, along with their nanocomposites for energy storage systems as well as their applications in electronic/optoelectronic devices. In addition to his research and teaching activities, Dr. Singh is an active member of several prestigious scientific societies. These include the American Chemical Society, the Materials Research Society of India, the Indian Science Congress Association, and the Electron Microscope Society, among others.
